Kerstin is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter whose debut EP, Rain and Blind Spots, introduces her as a fresh and powerful voice in the music world. Originally from Austria and now based in Sweden, her music draws deeply from her personal journey of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment. A mother and advocate for women’s rights, Kerstin’s songs explore vulnerability and strength, inspiring listeners to embrace their own transformations.
The two tracks, Rain and Blind Spots, are both heartfelt and bold. Rain uses the metaphor of water to explore renewal and self-empowerment, while Blind Spots delves into raw emotion, exploring love, loss, and fleeting moments of peace amidst chaos. These songs blend intimate, poetic lyrics with rich, innovative instrumentation, solidifying Kerstin’s place as an artist to watch.
The EP was recorded at the legendary Eastcote Studios in Notting Hill, London —where artists like Adele and Cat Stevens have crafted their hits—with a band featuring some of the UK's finest musicians, Chris Montague – guitar, Joel Barford – drums, Tom Farmer – bass and Sarah Gillespie – backing vocals.
The song was mixed by Grammy award winning George Murphy and mastered by Grammy Award winning Andrew Tulloch.
The single was produced by singer songwriter Sarah Gillespie and her MD Chris Montague, who brought their unique touch to Kerstin’s debut.
